Mini Pharmacy at “A Day Of Hope and Health” Event
- The JDRF Orange County chapter provides free outreach events throughout the year that are informative and highlight areas of interest for people living with type 1 diabetes.
The JDRF Orange County research update events provide the opportunity to hear scientists present current, cutting-edge research information about JDRF-funded projects. Several updates are planned each year, taking attendees “from the bench to the bedside” in our search for a cure.
Our annual meeting is held every June. The evening consists of a research update, the election of our chapter’s board of directors, and a look at the past year in review.
Join us this year on Monday, June 4! RSVP to email@example.com.
Day of Hope and Health
An annual free event for families and individuals affected by type 1 diabetes that combines both educational and fun components. Activities include: relevant speakers for the adults, a children’s program (arts and crafts, games, etc), a vendor fair, complimentary lunch and three hours of fun at Boomers! (miniature golf, go karts, laser tag, arcade games and more).
Join us on April 29th for the 4th annual Day of Hope and Health. This year’s speakers are Bruce Buckingham, MD from Stanford University (formerly of CHOC) speaking about current T1D research and Kriss Halpern, JD (the “Diabetes Attorney”) speaking about legal issues and T1D. As an added bonus for adults with T1D, Kriss will be doing a Q&A session for adults with T1D from 1:00-1:30 (at the conclusion of the regular program). TrialNet Screening will also be available at the event.
